How to sync SanMar inventory to Shopify
This guide covers the Shopify setup for AYBABTU: install the app, connect your own SanMar SFTP inventory feed, map feed SKUs to Shopify product variants, and review scheduled stock updates. AYBABTU is not affiliated with SanMar.
Start at the Shopify App Store listing. You need an active Shopify store, access to your own SanMar SFTP feed, and product variants whose SKUs can be matched to that feed. For help, contact Merchant Support.
1. Install AYBABTU from the Shopify App Store
Install the live AYBABTU app from the Shopify App Store. The app opens as an embedded Shopify app after installation.
2. Approve Shopify access
Review the access request shown by Shopify and approve it to complete installation. Shopify authorizes the app through its install flow; you do not need to create WooCommerce REST keys or paste a separate Shopify API key.
3. Connect your SanMar SFTP feed
In the embedded app onboarding, open “Connect your primary inventory source.” In the source setup form, select the “SanMar” vendor preset and “SFTP” protocol. Enter the Host, Port, Username, Password, and inventory feed file location for your own SanMar SFTP account. This Shopify inventory setup uses SanMar SFTP credentials rather than SanMar Web Services SOAP credentials.
4. Map feed columns and Shopify variants
Continue to “Map custom file columns & unmapped SKUs.” Set the file-column mapping needed to read vendor SKUs and available quantities. If a vendor SKU needs a manual match, open “Unmapped SKU Resolver,” use “Search Shopify products” to choose the correct product variant, then select “Save Mapping.” Check the style, color, and size before saving the match.
5. Run the first sync and check the schedule
Use “Trigger your first live sync” and review the results in the embedded app. AYBABTU processes scheduled inventory updates about every 15 minutes on every plan. Background inventory syncs do not count against monthly API requests; API calls and manual or dashboard actions use the request allowance.
6. Choose a plan and confirm billing
Choose a plan that fits the mapped SKU and request limits shown for your account. Sandbox costs $0 per month and includes up to 500 mapped SKUs and 1,000 API requests per month. Paid subscription approval and charges go through Shopify’s app billing flow.
Troubleshooting
If the source does not connect, confirm the SFTP host, port, username, password, and file location with your SanMar account. If quantities are missing or unexpected, check that the file columns point to the correct SKU and available-quantity fields, then review the sync results. For an unmatched item, use the Unmapped SKU Resolver to save the intended Shopify product variant. Confirm a few mapped variants in Shopify before expanding the selection.
